Manufacturing Working Relationship Requirements
The following information is intended to help potential partners understand our manufacturing working relationship requirements. Please contact us if you have any questions.
We can assist you in developing your product(s) to be compatible with a manufacturing environment. An hourly plant rate and charges for supplies will be assessed while using production personnel and facilities for this purpose.
Pilot production runs normally are charged out at an hourly production rate. (A portion of charges assessed for product development and pilot production runs may be credited against your initial production processing fees.)
Production batch sizes must be a minimum of 1,000 gallons per flavor for beverages and 250 – 500 gallons for dressings, jams, or sauces.
J. Lieb Foods is strategically located just outside the Portland, Oregon metro area in Forest Grove, Oregon. With ready access to ingredients and supplies from the greater Portland area as well as other West Coast suppliers, our location provides easy access and short turn-around times for shipping. Our plant is located adjacent to a cold storage and freezing facility, making convenient access to frozen ingredients possible for both customers and our production needs.
In late 2006 J Lieb Foods acquired a plant in Kennewick, WA to increase its production capabilities.
You are responsible for providing all supplies and ingredients, with the exception of bulk commodities such as oils, fructose, sugar, etc.
All ingredients, supplies, labels, packaging materials, etc. must be received by J. Lieb Foods five days prior to production before your order can be incorporated into the daily production schedule.
Your finished product, remaining supplies and ingredients can remain at our location for up to ten production days following the manufacture date of your finished goods without warehouse storage charge.
